Health and Safety Training

Health and safety is at the core of every successful workplace. Our courses are delivered in a supportive, professional environment and are designed to ensure participants understand their responsibilities, recognise potential hazards and contribute to safer working practices.

We focus on practical, relevant learning that prepares candidates for real-life situations - helping to reduce risk, improve awareness and promote a strong safety culture across the workplace.

At PTS, we offer the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test from our own Pearson Vue approved test centre, on Bristol Road, Gloucester. These tests are invigilated by Pearson Vue trained staff who will help ensure the exam runs as smoothly as possible.

Construction Skills Training

Our construction training offer is ideal for those entering the industry as well as experienced workers seeking to formalise or update their qualifications. Courses are structured to provide essential knowledge of site safety, industry standards and best practice, ensuring learners are fully prepared for the demands of working on-site.

We are committed to helping individuals gain recognised qualifications that enhance employability and open doors to new opportunities within the construction sector.

For this, we offer training for the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Certificate, which is also required to support your application for a CSCS Green Labourer Card.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)

We offer CSCS Card testing to support individuals in gaining the certification required to work on construction sites across the UK. The CSCS card demonstrates that workers have the necessary training and qualifications for the job they do, as well as a clear understanding of health and safety regulations.

Our testing service is straightforward and accessible, with guidance available throughout the process to ensure candidates feel confident and fully prepared.

The cost of obtaining a CSCS Labourer Card is as follows:

• One day training by PTS staff in our Centre for the L1 Award in Health & Safety. (This includes resources, registration for online test, invigilation, and certification) – £164.00 (inc VAT)
• Online CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test – £49.95
• To re-sit the L1 Award in Health & Safety (incl VAT) – £43.50
• To re-sit the CITB Online Test – £49.95
