Prospect Training Services (PTS) seeks two passionate and committed trainee/currently unqualified Functional Skills Tutors - one for English and one for Maths (with the ability to cover for both subjects when required) - to join our supportive Study Programmes team based in the centre of Gloucester. These are permanent opportunities working 30+ hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Therefore you must possess the ability to motivate learners to develop their skills and reach their full potential. You will have passion and the empathy required to work with young people between the ages of sixteen to nineteen with differing abilities, including those with additional needs. You will use innovative methods to deliver creative, fun and engaging sessions for maths (or English) with a focus on supporting the learners to achieve their qualifications.
This role includes full tutoring responsibilities, including developing your own curriculum against standards, planning and prepping sessions and marking work. You will be part of our regular team meetings and we will provide you with opportunities for professional development.

Required skills and experience:
- Willing and self motivated to study to work towards a Level 4 (or above) Education and Training teaching qualification.
- Ability to deliver Functional Skills and GCSE English or maths (entry level to level 2) (depending on the role you are applying for) and have the qualifications to deliver both (entry level to level 2) for cover purposes.
- Excellent delivery skills and proficient classroom management.
- Excellent time management and planning capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and good command of the English spoken language.
- Great coordination and organisational skills.
- Excellent time management.
- Be innovative, fast thinking and versatile.
- Self-motivated, able to work to performance targets and KPIs.
- Good general level of ICT skills including Microsoft Office.

Salary: up to £26,000 per annum pro rata (depending on experience) with salary increase on successful completion of qualification and passing of probation period.
